The Magnificent Seven From Abbeville
Seven young people, Alicia Burton, Amber Burton, Kayla Burton and Ashlligh Burton (front row left to right) and Justin Burton, Reggie (Red) Norman and Rashaan Thomas (back row left to right) were pricked in their hearts at our New Years eve Concert, obeyed the call of the Holy Spirit, consented to being baptized and were added to the Lord's church.
Straight Company is blessed to have had a roll in their decision and want to be among the first to congratulation each of them for deciding to take this fork in the road. Instead of continuing to refer to them as kids, we now call them friend, but more importantly we also call them Brother & Sister and will be there for them if they should ever need a confidant, a friend, a brother or sister.
Our prayer for them is that God will impart his wisdom to them, the Holy Spirit will guide them true and straight through this life and that Jesus will always be their example and role model. Father take these young people into your hands and protect them, provide for their needs, give them strength to resist temptation and give them a spirit of kindness toward their fellow human beings. Keep them safe from drugs and alcohol, help them to be obedient to their parents, help them to be good examples to their friends and help them find a place and a way to serve in your church. Give each a spirit of boldness and courage so that they will have no fear of sharing the good news of who you are with everyone they come in contact with.
